For this project, the “client” requested icons representing badminton, bocce, relay races, horseshoes, and volleyball for their campsite. They specified that the icons should be basic but easily recognizable. My design approach involved using simple, geometric shapes similar to those found in basic street signs. I began by searching online for existing icons of each sport to gather inspiration.

This was my first project using Illustrator, and I utilized a variety of tools. The tools I used most frequently included the Rounded Rectangle, Line Segment, Ellipse, Shaper Tool, and the Selection tool. I used the Rounded Rectangle Tool to create the green backgrounds for the icons and some parts of the human figures in the icons. The Line Segment Tool was used to create the arms and legs of the people and the handle of the badminton racket. I used the Ellipse Tool to form circular shapes for the people’s heads, the volleyball, and the bocce balls. Additionally, I used the Shaper Tool to craft the horseshoe symbol and the badminton shuttlecock.
