Go Green! Advertising Project

go green advertising project

For this project, the “client” stated they are looking for an ad that supports the idea of clean energy and requested only the text “Go Green” and the website URL on the ad. I would typically imagine an ad for clean energy to be simple and straightforward. They also requested examples of what the ad would look like in real-world settings.

I used adjustment layers, filters, and effects on the ad and each sample location. For the ad, I applied a drop shadow effect on the “Go Green” text to help it stand out from the background, along with minor color and brightness adjustments. For each of the sample locations, I used adjustment layers, filters, and effects. I incorporated a drop shadow effect on each of the ad placements to make the banners look more realistic. I also made various adjustments to brightness, levels, hue, etc., on the background images for each location. Both building locations already had well-balanced color and exposure, so not much adjusting was needed there. However, in the subway photo, I made numerous adjustments to balance the color, contrast, shadows, etc. The strong green hue in the photo intrigued me and I found it to be a beautiful photo, but I toned it down for this project. It still has a distinct green hue, so I also adjusted the colors on the ad itself to help it blend in with the rest of the photo
